AIM = Active Injury Mitigation

  • For DADO sets-Ø: 203 mm
  • Saw blade contact → Standstill: 5 ms (0.005 s or 5/1000 s)

Properties & Advantages

  • Stops the saw blade within 5 milliseconds of contact.
  • Is triggered by contact with conductive material and the saw blade.
  • Examples:
    • Human skin (hands!)
    • Metal (aluminium, brass,...)
    • Wet, freshly cut wood
  • Trapped staples and nails do not release the cartridge.
  • Is urgently required when using DADO sets!
  • Very easy to fit: just push on, lock and continue.
  • Once the AIM cartridge has been released, it must be replaced. It is strongly recommended to replace saw blades, even if they show no visible damage!
  • Not compatible with Festool saws with SawStop technology.
